Jeff Baldori is a music legend, as you can
see on the pages of this website. What is unique is the genuine nature
of his musical career. The legend started in Detroit in the 60's. His
first single was recorded at United Sound as a teenager. Joining with
his brother in the Woolies the two of them landed a national record
contract with Lou Adler and Dunhill records which became a number one
national hit. Then came the 40 year involvement with Chuck Berry where
Jeff recorded on the last Chess CD, which was topic of the movie, "Cadillac
Records" This in itself makes defines the distinction of non
contrived geniuses that most careers of distinction hold.
Jeff actually plays two instruments guitar an piano, with proficiency,
sings, writes, and has recorded for an entire lifetime. His musical
influences have been varied. From his classical and jazz training, to
the street life of a musician. At this point in his career Jeff would
put Martin Sexton, Van Morrison, and Mose Allison as his strongest
musical influences. The years with Chuck Berry are also strongly felt in
his recordings and live performances. two other artists strongly
influenced Jeff in his earlier Career, those being Magic Sam and James
Booker. One would do well to get to a live performance to witness Jeff's
slide guitar playing and renditions of these artists. "The Blues CD
has renditions of these artists songs.
We are all accustomed to the media blitzit, Yet it is rare
pleasure to find a fresh and original artist who has truly paid dues. It
is yours to experience. Jeff is at the height of his playing and singing
ability and has an extremely full travel schedule. His focus will be on
